Main Ingredients

  • 12 pieces Mozzarella balls Use small mozzarella balls for easy eating.
  • 6 pieces Black olives Cut in half to make the eyeball pupils.
  • 1 medium Red pepper Cut into thin strips for decoration.
  • 1/2 cup Cream cheese For serving or use any preferred dip.
  • 1 pack Toothpicks For assembling the eyeballs.

Instructions

Preparation

  • Cut the black olives in half to make the eyeball pupils.
  • Take the mozzarella balls and use a toothpick to place a slice of red pepper on top.
  • Place one olive half on each mozzarella ball to finish the eyeball look.

Serving

  • Place the eyeballs on a large plate or tray.
  • Add cream cheese in a small bowl in the middle for dipping.
  • You can also place them around crackers, pretzels, carrot sticks, or cucumber slices.
  • Use a black plate or add plastic spiders around the serving tray for a spooky look.

Notes

Store leftover eyeball appetizers in an airtight container in the fridge. Eat them within 1 to 2 days for the best taste and texture. Keep the dip in a separate container. If the mozzarella balls release liquid, gently pat them dry before serving again. Kids can help assemble the eyes while an adult handles the knife.
