Snowman Cake Pops
Cute and easy Snowman Cake Pops that can be made with kids or friends, perfect for holiday fun.
Ingredients
For the Cake Pops
- 1 box Cake mix (any flavor, chocolate or vanilla recommended) Any flavor works, but vanilla or chocolate keeps it classic.
- 1 cup Frosting (store-bought or homemade) Homemade offers better taste; keep it creamy.
- 16 oz White melting chocolate or candy coating Melt slowly for a smooth coating; add oil if too thick.
- 12 pieces Cake pop sticks Use sturdy sticks to avoid breakage.
For Decoration
- 1/2 cup Mini chocolate chips or black pearls For buttons and eyes.
- 12 pieces Small orange candy (like sprinkle shapes) For the nose.
- assorted Edible markers or colored gels For details.
- as needed Sprinkles, mini marshmallows, pretzel sticks, or licorice For accessories.
Instructions
Preparation
- Bake your cake according to package instructions. Let it cool completely.
- Crumble the cooled cake into a big bowl.
- Add frosting a little at a time, mixing until the mixture resembles playdough.
- Roll the mixture into balls about the size of a golf ball and chill them in the freezer for 15-20 minutes.
Coating and Decoration
- Melt the white chocolate slowly. Dip the tip of each cake pop stick into the melted chocolate, then push it halfway into a cake ball.
- Dunk the whole cake ball into the melted chocolate, let it drip off, and place it stick up in a foam block or mug.
- Decorate with candies and sprinkles before the coating sets.
- Chill the decorated cake pops in the refrigerator until the coating is firm.
Notes
Keep chocolate smooth by adding vegetable oil if it thickens. Plan out decorations in advance to avoid scrambling. Use tweezers for detail work if necessary.
