Ingredients
  

Chicken Breakfast Sausage Mix

  • 1 pound ground chicken preferably lean
  • 1 tsp dried sage
  • 1/2 tsp fennel seeds
  • 1/2 tsp garlic powder
  • 1/4 tsp onion powder
  • 1/2 tsp salt
  • 1/4 tsp black pepper
  • 1/4 tsp smoked paprika optional

Instructions
 

  • In a large mixing bowl, combine ground chicken, sage, fennel seeds, garlic powder, onion powder, salt, black pepper, and smoked paprika. Mix thoroughly.
  • Divide the mixture into 8 portions and shape each into a small patty.
  • Heat a non-stick skillet over medium heat and lightly grease if needed.
  • Cook the patties for about 4-5 minutes on each side, or until golden brown and cooked through (internal temperature should reach 165°F/74°C).
  • Serve immediately or cool and store in the fridge for up to 3 days.

Notes

Customize your sausage by adding a touch of maple syrup for sweetness or red pepper flakes for a spicy kick.
