  • 1/2 teaspoon garlic powder
  • 1/2 teaspoon onion powder
  • to taste Salt Add a little at a time, especially if serving with salty chips.

For Decoration

  • Black olives for the eyes Pat dry to avoid extra liquid.
  • Green bell pepper for the hair Cut into a jagged shape.
  • Cherry tomatoes for the mouth Use halved cherry tomatoes.
  • Tortilla chips or vegetable sticks for serving

Instructions

Preparation

  • Cut the avocados in half and remove the pits. Scoop the flesh into a bowl.
  • Mash the avocados with a fork until smooth.
  • Add the lime juice, garlic powder, onion powder, salt, and pepper. Mix well and taste. Adjust the seasoning as needed.
  • Spread the guacamole on a small platter or in a shallow dish. Shape it into a wide rectangle.
  • Add black olives for the eyes. Cut a piece of green bell pepper into a jagged shape and place it along the top for hair. Use a halved cherry tomato for the mouth.

Serving

  • Place the dip in the center of your snack table. Serve tortilla chips, carrot sticks, cucumber slices, and bell pepper strips in separate bowls around it.
  • Keep the face clear of chips until serving so everyone can see the spooky design. Set out a spoon so guests can scoop the dip onto their plates.

Notes

Remove the face toppings and store them in a separate covered container. To store guacamole, press food-safe plastic wrap directly against its surface and refrigerate for up to 2 days. The top may turn brown due to exposure to air. For the best color and taste, enjoy the dip the day you make it. Do not leave at room temperature for more than 2 hours (1 hour if above 90°F).
