Main Ingredients

  • 2 lbs Potatoes, Yukon Gold or Russet, cut into chunks
  • 1 lb Smoked Sausage, sliced (or chicken sausage for a lighter option)
  • 2 cups Cheddar Cheese, grated Mix some in and top with the rest
  • 1 packet Ranch Seasoning Essential for flavor, don't skip out!
  • 2 tablespoons Butter, melted To mix with potatoes
  • 1/2 cup Milk For creaminess

Instructions

Preparation

  • Preheat your oven to 375°F (190°C).
  • Cut the potatoes into half-inch chunks for even cooking.
  • In a large bowl, combine the chopped potatoes, sliced sausage, melted butter, ranch seasoning, and milk. Mix well.
  • Transfer the potato mixture to a greased baking dish.
  • Sprinkle in some of the cheddar cheese, and then top with the remaining cheese.
  • Cover the baking dish with foil and bake for 30 minutes.
  • Remove the foil and bake for an additional 15 minutes or until cheese is bubbly and golden.
  • Once done, let it rest for a few minutes before serving.

Notes

For variations, feel free to substitute smoked sausage with different meats or add extra veggies. Mix half the cheese into the dish and sprinkle the remaining on top for a better texture. Store leftovers in an airtight container in the fridge for up to three days.
