Ingredients
  

  • For the Pizza Dough or Use Store-Bought
  • 2 ½ cups all-purpose flour
  • 1 tsp salt
  • 1 tsp sugar
  • 1 packet 2 ¼ tsp active dry yeast
  • ¾ cup warm water 110°F
  • 1 tbsp olive oil
  • 1 cup canned tomato sauce
  • 1 tbsp tomato paste
  • 1 tsp dried oregano
  • 1 tsp garlic powder
  • ½ tsp salt
  • ½ tsp black pepper
  • ½ tsp crushed red pepper flakes optional for spice
  • 1 tsp sugar
  • 1 tbsp olive oil
  • For the Toppings
  • 1 ½ cups shredded mozzarella cheese
  • ½ cup shredded Parmesan cheese
  • 20 –25 slices beef pepperoni
  • 1 tsp dried Italian seasoning
  • ½ tsp red pepper flakes optional
  • Fresh basil leaves for garnish

Instructions
 

  • In a small bowl, dissolve yeast and sugar in warm water. Let it sit for 5–10 minutes until foamy.
  • In a large mixing bowl, combine flour and salt. Add the yeast mixture and olive oil.
  • Knead the dough for 8–10 minutes until smooth and elastic. Add more flour if sticky.
  • Place the dough in a greased bowl, cover, and let it rise for 1 hour until doubled in size.
  • In a saucepan over medium heat, add olive oil and sauté for 1 minute.
  • Stir in tomato sauce, tomato paste, oregano, garlic powder, salt, pepper, red pepper flakes, and sugar.
  • Simmer for 5–7 minutes, stirring occasionally. Remove from heat and set aside.
  • Preheat the oven to 475°F (245°C).
  • Roll out the pizza dough on a lightly floured surface into a 12-inch circle.
  • Transfer the dough to a pizza stone or greased baking sheet.
  • Spread ½–¾ cup of pizza sauce evenly over the dough.
  • Sprinkle shredded mozzarella and Parmesan cheese over the sauce.
  • Arrange beef pepperoni slices evenly on top.
  • Sprinkle with Italian seasoning and red pepper flakes (if using).
  • Place the pizza in the oven and bake for 12–15 minutes or until the cheese is bubbly and golden brown.
  • Remove from the oven and let it rest for 5 minutes before slicing.
  • Garnish with fresh basil leaves and serve hot!
